First Attempt

I have decided to start a blog. This is mostly for my benefit, and for a few friends to keep up with me. I'm not suggesting my life is so exciting that everyone wants to keep up with it, but for those of you that are very far away, this may be an adequate way of keeping up with things. For those of you not so far, well, you can decide if this in entertaining enough to read or not.

My first random subject will be "Things that Really Ruin Things" in which I will discuss things that happen that really ruin a situation or an event. This thought came to m mind when I was enjoying dinner the other night. I was just finishing a nice glass of milk after my meal. As I was swallowing what would have been about the third to last drink, I noticed something. I inspected what I found, and discovered that it wasn't little bits of stuff stuck from setting my glass on a dirty surface. It was indeed, little bits of stuff my dishwasher left inside the bottom of my glass. A little treat, to slowly dissolve as the liquid inside, which I had intended to drink un tainted, soaked into them and loosened them up. Nothing ruins a beverage more than finding these chunks in the bottom of your glass, and wondering how many I had already drank, I was thankful I was already standing in front of my sink because the liquid already in my mouth quickly made it's way out ,uncontrollably. Those little bits stuck inside my glass can really ruin a beverage drinking experience. The pathetic part is, in my opinion, this has happened on more than one occasion. Every time I get to the bottom of the glass and find chunks, I think, 'I need to remember to check my glasses before I put them in the cupboard.' Yet, have I learned my lesson? Of course not! And thus sadly, I go on, risking my beverages in glasses which are not verifiable chunk free .
